Hunting General Tso? Life On University Boulevard.

June 12th, 2011

Jennifer 8. Lee? is an American journalist, formerly with the New York Times and author of the best seller “fortune cookie Chronicles”, detailing his investigation of Chinese cuisine at the United States.

Except canola means "Canadian oil." and the plant is still a plant of rape, although genetically modified. The new name offer shelter perfect commercial interests wanting to make millions. Look at the list of ingredients on the label. Apparently of peanut oil is replaced with rapeseed oil. You can find in many processed foods. There is more, to conclude: rapeseed oil has been the source of war chemical agent mustard gas, which was banned after blistering the lungs and the skins of hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians during the W.W.I. Recent French reports indicate that he was still in use during the Gulf war.

Rapeseed oil is toxic for humans live and is an excellent insect repellent. I used it (in its very diluted form, according to instructions) to kill aphids on my roses for the past two years. It works very well. It stifles the. Ask your nursery. Rape is an oil that is used as a lubricant, fuel, SOAP and synthetic rubber base and as an illuminant color pages in magazines. It is an industrial oil. It is not a food. Rapeseed oil, seems, causes emphysema, respiratory distress, anemia, constipation, irritable and blindness in animals and humans. Rapeseed oil has been widely used in foods for animals in England and in Europe between 1986 and 1991, when he was overthrown. Don't forget the fear of "Mad cow disease", where millions of cattle to the United Kingdom were slaughtered in the case of infect humans? Cattle were fed on a mixture containing material of dead sheep and sheep suffering from a disease called "scrapie of sheep". It was thought that this was how 'Mad cow' started and began to infiltrate the human chain. What is interesting, is that when the rapeseed oil was removed from feed, "scrapie" has disappeared. We have not seen any other reports of "Mad cow" given that rapeseed oil was removed from power. May not be scientifically proven, but interesting all the same. American and Canadian farmers grow oilseed rape genetically and manufacturers use its oil (canola) in thousands of processed foods, with the blessing of the Canadian and American Government monitoring agencies. Canola support Web sites say that the canola is safe to use. Admit that it was developed from rapeseed, they insist on the fact that through genetic engineering is no longer, rapeseed, but "canola" instead.

What I really liked about this presentation is that I actually made my own small experience similar to Jennifer, I asked my family to Hong Kong on these Chinese food Canadian-American (I will reference to all Canadian variants and American kitchen Chinese simply American Chinese food now because I am convinced that changes in moving from States to the Canada). I remember asking them if they had never heard of fortune cookies? Non. Are that they like to try chop suey? My cousin said hell no and how could the same be sold under the name “Chinese food,” said in a disgusted tone as if I asked him if he would like to eat mobile phones jumped.

To be quite honest, I share the feelings of my loved ones on American Chinese food. I do not like them, I don’t eat them if I can avoid it, and I recognize it as a “real” Chinese food As Chinese whose eaten its share of tariffs for Chinese food at home or in China and Hong Kong, I find American Chinese food to be devoid of any kind of creativity or memorable taste. They are oily, too salty or sweet ge.nerally and a good dose of MSG. There is also a lack of innovation in American Chinese food. If you deep fry something, add the sweet/sour sauce, which is not spectacular. Same reason that I eat not fried March bars. It does not add any value the experience of eating food. The rapid foodness of these kinds of foods does not make me to eat more of it, or remember something, that I ate in China or that I ate at home. Even if this is not a fast-food like Manchu Wok, it is almost the same thing.

Check products for ingredients. If the label says, "may contain the following elements" and lists canola oil, you know that it contains canola oil because it is cheaper oil and the Canada Government subsidizes it industries involved in the food processing.

I realize that any “real” Chinese food can be called original and there is not much what you call “original” Chinese food if the definition is stretched at this level. When it comes down to it, it is personal preference. I don’t expect my friends to share the same opinion (which many did and did not like the more “real” Chinese food I have to eat). Haters will be haters, and I am at the level of abhorrence.

(6) Think twice before ordering for déniché which are described as “crispy” or “beaten” on the menu of food. Beware also of dishes which include noodles, adopt chow and pickles.

Healthy Chinese Food Options

June 10th, 2011

Jump down on Chinese food, watching the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games may seem like the ideal way to pay tribute to the host country. Some Hakka Chow, chili chicken, Fried Rice and Veg Manchurian Schezwan… fantastic flavors. But if you get this scheme, your body will look more like Mahesh Bhatt Mahesh Bhupathi.

I have a Web site on Chinese healthy eating (www.cnrecipe.org), but the traffic is very low. a 0 in the first week, then 1 visitor in the next two days, then 3 for a long time. And Google ranking is not very good… OH man.

chinese - divine in the daily @ flickr

Chinese – Divine in daily @ flickr

So whats, a solution? Obviously, not eating food Chinese is a bad solution :) , but you can make healthy choices while ordering Chinese food.

Lets start with everyone of favorite… those little steam eatables called Dim Sum – you think its good because its steamed. But Dim Sum consists mainly of maida (refined flour), which causes of your blood sugar to spike (watch out diabetic) and promotes fat storage. To begin, go to stuff is stir fried, chicken satay, flavoured vegetables or a clear soup with vegetables or meat in it. Or you can skip the starters and go for the main dish

The main dish is similar to minefield of bombs in poor health. Stir Fried dishes are good, since they are relatively low in sodium, are cooked quickly and lesser oil (since this is is not fried). Avoid Manchuria. First of all its encapsulated in maida (refined flour), then its deep fried. Then his hardened in a sauce of high sodium. Is there a better way to spell Health D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R. Basically, stay away from all that is served wrapped in a sauce dough balls. All of Black Bean Sweet and sour sauces are drowning in the sodium. And some of them have loads of sugar added, as Sweet and sour or garlic.

For your options of starch, there is another field of mines. The noodles are made from refined flour and then they are soaked in oil and aroma (including soybeans) – do you know what that is the case, therefore stay away from her. Fried rice is a slightly better option since its rice, but there again, many oil and soya, since rice soaks the two of them soon! The best option is steamed rice. In addition, the number of calories relatively low, it allows to reduce your consumption of sodium. In addition, it gives you a chance to really taste the flavor of the dishes. Try jasmine rice, it feels fantastic.

Dessert, I am yet to find a true Chinese dessert. All standard Indian Chinese dessert versions are quite unhealthy-darsaan (fried with sugar paste), fried ice cream sugar coated nuts. Can I still enter why are not good choices. Chinese joints are not known for their chocolate-based treats. Stay to the broad, even in the menu:)

Our advice, go for the fresh fruit for a light and a sweet finish. Don’t forget to get some green tea or jasmine tea. You know, green tea is good for you.

You need to do some SEO. It is a long time, but traffic increases in the long term. SEO will take time to build some backlinks. During this time, you should make your site to free directories as possible. This will help in the creation of backlinks and also to get some traffic to your site in the meantime. I also write only. Example: http://www.bestlistingz.com

It takes a few query wait staff, to solve the mystery of the health of a new dish. But don’t be shy – eat this way while watching the Olympics and you 1 step further towards research as Michael Phelps. You’ve seen 60 pack it is obtained?
